William Sloan Drake, 77, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Settler's Ridge Care Center in Celina, Texas.
William was born Aug. 3, 1939, to Harold and Louise Drake in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Commerce High School in 1957, received his bachelor of arts from East Texas State College in 1961, and his doctrine of dental surgery at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. William loved being outdoors — whether it was hunting and fishing, mowing the yard or working the land and cattle at his ranch in Wolfe City, Texas. He also loved being in the mountains of Colorado, spending time hunting and skiing with friends and family, but most of all he loved being a dentist.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sarah.
