Funeral services for Randy Ray Baxley, 48, of Cumby were at 10 a.m. , Feb. 1, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumby with Rev. Jim Moore officiating. Interment followed at Cumby Cemetery, with Scotty Almon, Mark George, Tony Lunceford, Donald Higginbothan, Doyle Potts and Bobby Stanbrough serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Walden, Tony Wallace, Matt Vowell, Glenn Harper and Eddie Speight.
Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home of Sulphur Springs was in charge of arrangements.
Randy Ray Baxley passed away the evening of Jan. 29, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in Greenville on Dec. 18, 1963, the son of Travis Edward and Brenda (Fults) Baxley. He was a cash payoff clerk for Lomas Mortgage Company in Dallas, and he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his parents of Cumby; sister Rhonda Renee Lemon and husband David of Cumby; grandmother Estelle Baxley of Cumby; three nieces, Raisha Leanne and Isaac Groves, Haley Renee Lemon and Lindsey Nicole Lemon; a great-nephew, Jacob Groves; and two great-nieces, Chloe Groves and Kelcie Fite. He was preceded in death by his partner in life, Jeffery L. Patton, and grandparents, Ray and Jimmie Fults and Connie Baxley.
