Orville McKinnley Curry Jr., 78, of Klondike passed away Nov. 4, 2010, in Greenville.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Nov. 6, in the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Commerce with Father Miltonberger officiating. Interment followed in the Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Delta Funeral Home in Cooper.
Mr. Curry was born in Jasper on Sept. 20, 1932, the son of Orville McKinnley Curry Sr. and Ida Mae Curry. He married Jana Chapman in 1968, and she preceded him in death in 2001. Before retiring he was the administrator of the hospital in Commerce. Mr. Curry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by two sons, Tad Fowler of New Orleans, La., and Trey Curry (Orville Mckinnley Curry III) of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Dena Curry of Austin; two grandsons, Blake and Clay Manwaring, both of Austin; his beloved companion, Lee Riddle of Commerce; two sisters, Naomi Nicholos of Mena, Ark., and Sandra Kay Smith of Rhome, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
