Mervin Gene Snyder, formerly of Commerce, joined those that have passed before him on April 3, 2011, at the age of 69.
He was born Sept. 6, 1941. Mervin was best known for his infectious laugh and enjoyment of life. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Kim Leard and Dale Hawkins and Sheri and Lane Derry, all of Edmond, Okla.; his stepdaughter, Jodi and husband Darren Baker of Plano; his stepson, Richard Morgan of Commerce; his brother, Lee Snyder of Lincoln, Neb.; and his grandchildren, Tabitha Snyder, Wesley Leard, Savannah, Cody and Shayla Berry, Makalynn, Chamblee Morgan, and Megan Baker.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., April 6, in the Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Shiles Hubbell officiating. Interment followed in Sonora Cemetery, Fairlie.
Pallbearers were Dale Hawkins, Robert Miller, James Brewer, Kurtis Putman, David Tate, Joe Simmons, Richard Morgan and Wesley Leard. Cody Derry was honorary pallbearer.
