Mark Kimble Sullivan of Commerce went home to be with his loving Savior on Nov. 29, 2010, following a valiant battle with leukemia. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Commerce. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. 
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Commerce Funeral Home.    
Mark was born March 20, 1953, to Madeline and Arthur C. Sullivan Jr. in Dallas where he grew up. He earned his undergraduate degree from East Texas State University in Commerce. While still in college, Mark began his lifelong career as an insurance agent, and he eventually expanded his vocations to include ranching, homebuilding and trailer sales. 
In 1988, Mark married Gina McDuff. They were blessed with a daughter and two sons, Jourdan, Shelton and Spencer Sullivan, who were the lights of Mark’s life. 
Always active in his community, Mark developed the Sullivan Addition subdivision in Commerce and served on the Board of Trustees and the Financial Committee of the First United Methodist Church, Commerce, the Hunt County Committee on Aging, and the Commerce Public Library Board. Before moving to Hunt County, Mark lived in Royse City, where he was elected to and served on the City Council.    
Mark loved working on his farm, driving his tractor, riding around in his truck, attending equipment auctions, and buying and selling trucks, trailers and equipment of all sorts. He was also an accomplished guitar player and singer who showcased his talent from time to time at the Wiley Opry and other area venues.   
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Arthur C. Sullivan Jr., and his grandparents, Mabel and Arthur C. Sullivan Sr. and E’Lane Murphree. 
He is survived by his wife, Gina Sullivan of Commerce; his children, Jourdan, Shelton and Spencer Sullivan; his mother, Madeline Murphree Sullivan of Commerce; his sister, Rosemary Sullivan of Humble; sister Kathleen Sullivan Hooten; brother-in-law Greg Hooten; nephew Luke Hooten of Commerce; his 100-year-old grandmother-in-law, Velma LaCuesta of Gulfport, Miss.; his mother- and father-in-law, Brenda and Peter Verchinski of Commerce; sister and brother-in-law Lisa and David McClendon; nephews Chase and Brendan McClendon of Grapevine; sister-in-law Stacy Hardy of Gulfport; niece Elizabeth Dixon, great-niece Isabella Dixon of Gulfport; niece Lindsey Hardy of Gulfport; niece Amanda Devall and great-nieces Kayleigh-Ann and Kamryn Devall of Arizona. Mark was proud to have five generations on Gina’s side of the family.
