Eva Joan Wortz Littlejohn, after a long battle with PSP, closed her eyes to this life and opened them to the Glorious Face of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Aug. 10, 2014, at 78 years old.
Born to Edwin and Ella Mae Pontius Wortz in Harvey, Ill., on Aug. 23, 1935, Joan was loved by all. She worked as beautician, receptionist for Dr. Henry Harris, and retired from the USPS in Commerce.
Her parents, brother Arthur Wortz, husband Silas Odean Littlejohn, grandson James Earl Littlejohn and granddaughter Carmen Joan Leija preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister, Carol Wortz Retzlaff of LaGrange, Ill,; and four children: Janice Cattanach (Bill) of Cooper, Steven Littlejohn (Tami) of Tyler, Dorothy Swinson (Roger) of Palestine, and Dale Littlejohn of California; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Commerce since 1965.
Graveside services were held at Shiloh Cemetery in Klondike, officiated by her son Steven.
