Dr. Timothy Gerald Roberts passed away Feb. 22, 2015.
He was born Dec. 26, 1946, in Denver, Colo., to Gerald Sherman and Kathryn Rappis Roberts. Tim earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Northern Colorado; M.Ed. at the University of Denver; and Ed.D. in special education at the University of Northern Colorado.
He is survived by his mother and brothers Terry and Trent, all of Sterling, Colo.; daughters Julie Roberts of Houston and Courtney Roberts of Plano; and many special friends and colleagues, including Dr. Shari Eubank of Tulsa, Okla.
Dr. Roberts was an associate professor in the Department of Psychology, Special Education and Counseling at East Texas State University and Texas A&M University-Commerce from 1977 until his retirement in 2009. Outside of teaching, Tim loved baseball, hot Texas summers, and a great practical joke.
