Donald Keith Funk, 73, of Klondike passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, in Plano. A graveside service was held Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery.
He was born June 16, 1942, in Edam, W.Va., the son of Alston Funk and Elizabeth Hebb Funk.
Donald served in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1981 after 21 years of service. After his military service, he worked with the United States Postal Service. After retirement, he enjoyed tending to his 21 acres and caring for the cattle he kept on the land. He was never without something to do. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Donald is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Gwen; two sons, Donald Keith Funk Jr. and Christopher Wayne Funk; a daughter, Samantha Leah Funk; and two granddaughters, Ashleah Rose Funk and Breanna Noel Funk.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Alston and Elizabeth Funk; a brother, Alston Funk Jr.; and a sister, Nancy Funk.
The family of Donald Funk is being served by the Commerce Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1505 Washington Street.
