Charlotte's Story

Charlotte Marie Capps, 75, of Cooper passed away Dec. 2, 2014, in Sulphur Springs. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m Saturday, Dec. 6, in the Horton Cemetery with Brock Mitchell and Jeanette Harris officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Delta Funeral Home.
Mrs. Capps was born in Tucson, Ariz., on Aug. 7, 1939, the daughter of Hubert Lee Kilpatrick and Mildred Lorene Thomas Kilpatrick. She was a retired nurses’ aide and a member of the Living Word Praise Chapel in Commerce.
She is survived by three sons, James Mays of Cooper, Steve and Candi Mays of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Jeff Atherley of Alabama; two daughters, Kelly and Ricky Blevins of Cooper and Dorathy Allen of Sulphur Springs; a brother, Jerry and Greta Kilpatrick of Arizona; 13 grandchidlren, 12 great-grandchildren and two on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wylie Capps; a daughter, Bonnie Holder and a sister, Carol Losselyong.
