Beulah Faye Pipkin Leal, 84, of Commerce, Texas, died July 21, 2016.
Beulah Faye was born in New Baden, Texas, to Willis Claude and Annie Catherine Caroline (Brunette) Pipkin (deceased), on Aug. 20 , 1931. She graduated from Franklin High School and later attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married Alphonso Perez Leal (deceased) on Feb. 11, 1949. Beulah Faye died of pneumonia in a convalescent home in Austin, Texas. Her sister, Lillie Mae Hempel, preceded her in death.
A young widow, she reared three daughters in Port Lavaca, Texas, Claudia Catherine Burton (Colorado Springs, Colo., with husband Roger), Charlotte Ann Gemar (Las Vegas, Nev., with husband John) and Beulah Sharon Meyers (Erie, Colo., with husband Rick).
Also surviving are grandchildren Heather (Gemar) Day, Whitney Cantrell, Zachary Burton, Katherine (Burton) Eckler and Erick Meyers and great-grandchildren Emmalee Day, Tyler Day, Anna Day and Aubrey Cantrell.
Beulah Faye enjoyed gardening, sightseeing, shopping with friends/family, but mostly her nursing career. She was an LVN in hospitals and nursing homes and private elderly care.
Her remains will reside in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin, Texas.
